The small print of a rental contract is also important. Below, we include these details so you know exactly what to expect. 

The vessels of Aquaship.nl are rented out under the “Hiswa general terms and conditions for the rental of pleasure craft” through the mediation of Driesprong Yachtcharters on behalf of the ship owner Aquaship.nl in Nieuw-Lekkerland.

• The reservation is final after receipt of the signed rental contract. 50% of the rental amount must be paid within fourteen days after receiving the rental contract, and the remainder three weeks before departure.
• The Aquila is fully insured (all-risk) for sailing on Dutch inland waters and the IJsselmeer.
• The deductible is €750, to be paid in cash. This amount must be paid upon departure to account number NL79 RABO 0162 3378 33 in the name of Verkerk Onroerend goed Nieuw-Lekkerland BV and will be refunded at the end of the rental period, provided the vessel is returned without damage. If there is any damage to the vessel or inventory, this will be deducted from the deposit.
• All renters receive instructions regarding the handling of the vessel, the engine, and accessories. If you wish to have a trial run, you must notify us at least 24 hours before the start of your rental period.
• No vessels will be rented to minors, even if parental consent has been given.
• Pets are only allowed with the landlord’s permission. A fee of €60.00 will be charged for this.

Fuel
Upon departure, you will receive a full tank of diesel and a gas bottle from us. Consumption is at the renter’s expense.

Departure and return
The departure time is Friday at 3:00 PM. The return time is no later than Friday at 9:00 AM. In case of late return, the landlord has the right to charge €15 for each delayed quarter of an hour. If you wish to collect the vessel after 6:00 PM, you must notify us in advance.

Rental is also possible for a weekend or midweek outside the high season and public holidays (Easter, Ascension Day, and Pentecost).

• Weekend price (Fri. 3:00 PM – Mon. 9:00 AM) is 60% of the weekly price.
• Midweek price (Mon. 3:00 PM – Fri. 9:00 AM) is 50% of the weekly price.

Cleaning
The vessel will be delivered to you clean, and we kindly ask that you return it clean as well. If you prefer us to handle the cleaning, please inform us before your departure. The price for final cleaning is €80.00.

Inventory
The Aquila is very well equipped. A complete inventory list is always on board, and we will send it to you in advance. You only need to bring your own duvets, sheets, hand and tea towels. If desired, you can reserve duvets and sheets in advance for €15.00 per person.

Cancellation
When entering into the rental agreement, we advise the renter to take out a cancellation insurance for the amount of the rental sum with an insurance company.

Breakdown on the way
The renter must strictly follow the instructions provided in the supplied manual in the event of malfunctions or damages. The landlord accepts no liability or obligation to compensate for expenses incurred by the renter as a result of a malfunction of the vessel. If compensation is justified, it will consist of a refund for the time lost due to the malfunction that rendered the vessel unusable, whereby malfunctions lasting less than 5 hours after notification to us will not be compensated.

Malfunctions of the radio/CD player, TV, second toilet, refrigerator, microwave or other appliances, navigation instruments, lighting, locks and fittings, windshield wipers, bow and stern thrusters are not considered to render the vessel unusable and will not entitle the renter to compensation.
